I'm Vlad — an iOS engineer from Wrocław, Poland. For the last 14 years I've built apps for other people, across more industries than I can list. Somewhere along the way I noticed a pattern: the people who work with their hands get the worst software. Bloated, subscription-locked, useless the moment the signal drops.
So I started building my own answer: a small portfolio of focused, offline-first utility apps, made the way I'd want to buy them — pay once, own forever.
The name, by the way: Smelov comes from the Russian word for "bold". I try to live up to it — I build in public and share the numbers, good and bad, on X (@smelov_dev).
Away from the keyboard you'll find me with my family, somewhere between a VW full of kid gear and a long-term plan that involves the Adriatic coast.
